With a background in advertising, Guillaume Gelley has developed a visual language shaped by light, composition and the materiality of a place.

Since 2020, his work has increasingly focused on gardens, landscape architecture and the relationship between architecture and the living environment.

Over six years with English Garden, he developed this approach through the photography and filming of landscape projects across the French Riviera.

His work looks beyond the documentation of a garden to reveal its atmosphere: the precision of a line, the depth of a perspective, the texture of foliage, the movement of light and the dialogue between architecture and landscape.

The Gardenographer brings this approach to commissioned photography and film for landscape architects, garden designers and outdoor living projects.

Selected Work with English Garden

Photography and film created by Guillaume Gelley as part of his work with English Garden, a landscape design and outdoor living studio based in Valbonne on the French Riviera.

This body of work explores Mediterranean gardens, landscape architecture, private estates, planting, swimming pools, terraces and outdoor living spaces, in dialogue with landscape designers, architects, craftsmen and leading international design houses.
